Remember I told you there was a need to fork out extra money between $200 and $300 to have the leaking toilets fixed? Gosh, it’s supposed to be $800!

A good friend recommended a plumber whom he had known for a long time to us on Tuesday. After checking the leaking toilets, he gave us a quote of $800 to have the 2 leaking toilets fixed.

I almost fainted when I heard him say $800. I thought $300 would be the most we had to fork out for the leaking toilets. Sigh!

Imagine how many dozens of acne treatment creams or diet pills I have to sell in order to make $800!

What to do? The leaking toilets have to be fixed, otherwise, the tenants can’t move in by July.

Urgh, headache! The leaking toilets are still not fixed yet. The plumber who came yesterday was only able to fix the water tank and change some water pipes.

According to the plumber, we had to look for a another more pro plumber who could break up the tiles and trace where the leaking was. Huh, I thought the plumber we found was a pro? Well, Apparently he was not.

After placing my order for some anti wrinkle cream products online, I have to go look for a more pro plumber to fix the leaking toilets.

Urgh, the tenants are moving in next week and there are still leaking toilets!

Tomorrow afternoon, hubby and I will go to our vacant house and wait for the plumber to have the leaking toilets fixed.

Hopefully, the plumber can fix the leaking toilets once and for all so that the newly-replaced pipes/sinks can last many years.

On last check, all the Kohler kitchen faucets worked fine. My brother-in-law assured me that they would last more than 10 or 20 years if the tenants took care of them.

Oh, I must remind hubby to get my neighbor to have the weeds grown outside the vacant house removed too!

Hubby asked whether it’s necessary to add some modern sofas to the house. Well, I don’t think so!

There are already more than 10 chairs and stools made of wood, bamboo and plastic in the house, so it’s really unnecessary to spend money on sofas.

Besides, the tenants are busy working people who travel often. If they are free at home, it’s for sure that they will glue to their home office chairs or beds which are in their air-conditioned bedrooms rather than sitting in the living room which has no TV and air-conditioner.

It’s confirmed that the tenants are moving in on the first week of June. Noop, not this week!

They have a conference from the 27th/28th until the 3rd/4th of June, so it’s unlikely that they can move in this week.

Hubby and I are fine if they can move in these few days. As long as they take care of our house, we are quite okay with the lower rentals and requests for air-conditioners and ceiling fans from the tenants.
