When I was living in Cameron Highlands, I complained a lot about hot weather in Ipoh. Whenever I had to go to Ipoh with hubby, I felt annoyed. I hated to go to Ipoh.

But people change, you know. After moving back to hubby’s home town in Ipoh, I am so used to the hot weather now.

It’s actually good to be hot. It makes you perspire, thus eliminate toxins from your body. Due to cool climate in Cameron Highlands, I didn’t sweat very often. As a result, it’s very sick for me to fall sick.

Besides, I am no longer in teaching line. Yes, I am very happy and relieved that I don’t have to make a living from teaching. I am more happy being an internet marketer now.

Building niche blogs and stores promoting credit cards, travel insurance policies, home mortgages, baby gifts, pink stuffs, unique gifts, cheap bargains, family gift ideas and endless niche products is more fun and interesting.

While trying to dig out some of my blog posts of gold cufflinks, I came across many old posts written about Cameron Highlands.

It’s been more than 5 months since hubby and I moved back to the small village. Life in a small village is definitely simpler. Things sold at the small village are so cheap that I am able to save more money and pay off more debt.

The same pink gifts I bought in the small village are more than 20% much cheaper.

While chatting with my aunt last night, she asked me when hubby and I would have holidays in Cameron Highlands again. I guess not this year. There are simply too many things to do this year.

Firstly, my uncle was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Hubby has to do the foot reflexology treatments for him a few times a week until his condition gets better.

Next is my grandma. She has recently lost his youngest son and is still in grief. My family members have to  keep her away from knowing that another son of hers is fighting his life with cancer.

After completing my review for a computer memory, I will visit my uncle and give him more support.

My credit card debts have dropped to $41,000 from $63,809. To pay off my credit card debts fast, I am desperate to make even more money online.

After blogging for about a year now, I think I am well-prepared to set up my own online stores selling handwoven handicrafts, dried flowers or handmade jewelry which are only found in Cameron Highlands. I see the possibility of making money because of the uniqueness of local products which can’t be found else where in the world.

I have bookmarked some shopping cart software websites so that I can compare prices, features, benefits and most important of all, security features.

Using an ecommerce shopping cart software company that provides 100% security to shoppers is vital. If shoppers feel safe at the shopping cart service, I bet they will shop and make their online payments without much worries.

I was recommended to check out Ashop Commerce that offers a complete solution to merchants to sell online. In fact I bookmarked this shopping cart software websites a few months earlier.

I am attracted by their award winning features which allow me to build an online store capable of competing with the web’s most powerful sites for a simple, low monthly fee. Money factor is to be considered carefully. There is only a monthly store fee and a once off setup fee. There are no hidden costs such as per transaction fees.

I also want my store to have a guaranteed 99.8% uptime with daily backups so that my business and sales will not be interrupted.

This month is going to be the last month I am in Cameron Highlands. Why ? I am moving to a new place with my hubby the end of this month.

Hubby is now a Branch Manager at an oil palm estate in Lenggong. Some friends in Cameron Highlands tried to persuade me not to leave. They advised me to consider setting up my own business of supplying wholesale flowers to the locals in Lenggong.

This means I travel both places. I have my own business but can still spend time with my hubby.

Too bad that I am not interested to travel both places. It’s going to take me more than 3 hours’ drive and I know this is too tiring for me.

Cameron Highlands is located 1,829 metres above sea level, one of the premier hilltop holiday spot endowed with a cool and fresh air. It was found in 1885 by William Cameron which eventually had the area named in his honour.

Cameron Highlands today is a popular destination for local holidaymakers, Singaporeans and people from all over the world.

Also, Cameron Highlands is a leading producer of flowers in Malaysia; be prepared for a lovely sight of extraordinary flowers you won’t see flourishing elsewhere in Malaysia.

Cameron Highlands is still home to many tea plantations — and much more. Tea and strawberries are grown on the terraced slopes of the Cameron Highlands, and the area possesses notable rose gardens as well.

The primary activities in the Cameron Highlands are all emphatically relaxing: touring, dining, shopping, and golfing.

Tea and scones in the Cameron Highlands is a tradition as well entrenched as traditional cuisine.

Visitors are attracted to the Cameron Highlands largely for a change of climate and pace. However, most visitors to Cameron Highlands are quite contented to take a stroll around the towns and soak in the relaxed atmosphere at the night stalls.

Cameron Highlands is the largest and most genteel of the hill resorts in Malaysia. Cameron Highlands is renowned for its cool countryside characters such as the Tudor architecture, the strikingly beautiful tea plantations, rose gardens, the strawberry farms, butterfly farms and lush rolling hills.

If you ever come to Cameron Highlands, tea plantations are one of the must-see features . You can visit the factories to see the process of tea production and some have shops where you can drink and buy tea for gifts.

As my hubby and I are tea lovers, we always receive tea, tea sets , tea gifts from friends. In return, we also like to give tea production besides flowers and vegetables to them.

Have you heard of tea blooms in Cameron Highlands ? Noop ? I wonder if I can find any tea blooms in Cameron Highlands. Honestly speaking, the first time my hubby and I saw tea blooms, we were impressed. It’s an eye-opener for us as we haven’t seen any in Cameron Highlands. Correct me if there are any tea blooms in Cameron Highlands…;D (more…)

Thinking of driving to Cameron Highlands this holiday ? If you are from Kuala Lumpur, the drive time is about three and a half hours. It is a 295 km drive.

The quickest route is by the North-South Expressway turning in near the town of Tapah. From Tapah you will hit the long winding road (about 60km) to Cameron Highlands.

Driving up to Cameron Highlands is a pleasure in itself, as many interesting stops along the way can be made. You can take a short break at the Kuala Woh Forest Recreation Park. There are picnic areas and a hot spring. (more…)

Hubby is still with his business buddy and won’t be back until this Saturday. I hope he remember to buy the HDMI splitters I am looking for to connect more than SKY HD and DVD player to my TV.

I am glad that hubby and I are leaving Cameron Highlands next month. Moving back to the lowland means that shopping malls are easily accessible, thus doing shopping is much more convenient.

There isn’t any shopping mall in Cameron Highlands, only some mini markets. I remember hubby and I rushed to Ipoh to buy some ink cartridges 2 months ago !

It took us 1 1/2 hours to reach there and then another 1 1/2 hours to rush back to Cameron Highlands. It’s urgent that we needed the ink cartridges and we couldn’t find any in Cameron Highlands.

My hubby goes back to Ipoh once a week while I only do so once in a blue moon. Why ? Well, it’s hot in Ipoh. I can’t stand the heat there.

Whenever I have to go to Ipoh to get new reference books for my students, I make sure that I stay in the shopping centre until the sun sets. By then, the weather is not so hot.

As usual, he is going to Ipoh tomorrow morning. Oh.. I am going to miss him. He will be away for 2 days.

There is another reason why I dislike going back to Ipoh. Our neighbor opposite us is a drug addict. His gangs like hanging out at his house. When they get high, they will cause annoying disturbance for hours.

Fortunately, my hubby told me over dinner that this neighbour was sent into a drug rehabilitation last week. I don’t have to be scared anymore.
