It’s difficult to persuade my family members and friends to have their holidays in Cameron Highlands. Whenever my hubby and I invite them to come over during holidays or public holidays, they will decline our invitations. Why ? There are 3 main reasons.
Firstly, they feel bored driving more than 200km from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands. The journey is not only long but also tiring. They have to wind all the way up to Cameron Highlands. Some can’t bear with the winding roads and end up throwing up …;D Some get sick because of the cold climate.
Secondly, the food in Cameron Highlands is not yummy if compared to gourmet in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Ipoh. I am from Kuala Lumpur and have a house in Ipoh. I am now living in Cameron Highlands with my hubby. I am just being honest, ok ? The food is not really delicious. So far, I find only a few dishes at certain restaurants are up to the standard. Others just ..urrgh…;d
Thirdly, there is no entertainment in Cameron Highlands. Besides watching Astro and playing mahjong, there is no karaoke, club or disco. There used to be a karaoke and a club in Cameron Highlands, but they were closed down by the authorities. The young ones of my family members or friends normally end up playing PS, video games or online poker games.
For those who put up with me are lucky because they can have Internet access at my place and look for online casino to have a few games. However, I have to limit their time so that my own work is not interrupted by them.
