Come and see what attracts so many of the Hollywood celebs to make Malibu their home. There are a number of fine restaurants right on the coast in Malibu offering great ocean views and there are a number of cozy shopping centers.
You can’t trespass over the stars’ private property to get there without risking arrest, and access to this stretch of beach is difficult.
But fortunately, there are a few (almost hidden) legal public access routes to the Colony’s front beach, most notably the “Zonker Harris Accessway”- named after the suntan-crazy “Doonesbury” cartoon character. (more…)

Everyone loves beach holidays! The little ones can dig in the sand and splash in the lapping waves. The older ones can swim, get a tan, or just relax. The inquisitive types can explore for sea life, tide pools, and drift wood.
The warm breezes and natural beauty are invigorating and restorative. Any trip, however, can cause discomfort if you do not plan well.
Here are things you can do to make your beach holidays easier, safer, and more meaningful.
In many parts of the world, people head for their beach holidays in the family car. When planning a trip, it’s always a good idea to give the car a good cleaning out first. (more…)

Look at the photos above ! Look like luxury hotel room, right ? I couldn’t believe this is not a hotel room, but accommodation provided to the inmates at an addiction treatment center - Sunset Malibu. When I showed my hubby the photos, he also thought the same.
Sunset Malibu has the most exclusive addiction treatment center in Malibu, known for its world-class drug rehab facilities. They have dedicated staff members that have “been there” and know what it takes to get drug addicts back their lives.

I told you that my hubby and I are like nomads. Every few years, we will move to a new place to experience new life; get to know different culture; taste exotic food; visit interesting places and pick up new languages.
Though we move back to Ipoh, there is possibility that we may not live in our own house. If it is far from the rubber estate plant, then we have to live nearby. (more…)

Family and friends categorize hubby and me as nomads. We loving moving from one place to another place. Starting new life is hard to some people, but not for us. Perhaps it is because hubby and I are Jack of all trades …;p
We are Jack of all trades, therefore we have different skills that we can use to make a living. Hubby can be a teacher, speaker, tourist guide, foot reflexologist, coffee shop attendee or businessman. As for me, I can be a tutor, foot reflexologist, sales promoter, blogger and the likes.
Moving to a new place means that we start from zero.Well, to be exact, start from negative. We are loaded with credit card debts.

When it comes to holiday packing, we need to edit down to the absolute essentials. The two basic rules are: Pack with a lightness of attitude and allow yourself the freedom to loosen up the fashion rules a little.
Try to pack the right combination of pieces, so that you can utilise them best. A well co-ordinated holiday wardrobe should give you the opportunity to get as far away from work as possible, so say no to stilettos and fancy hairdos. In short, the less fuss the better.
1. Leave your large suitcase aside, instead opt for a chic travel bag with rollers. Never underestimate what a compact luggage bag can do for you when you’re traveling light. If you are particular with color co-ordination, pack a bag that will complement the colours you wear often.
2. If you’ve been indulging in a just-okay swimsuit, you ought to go shopping. For inspiration, think how much more confident you’ll feel when walking down the beach, knowing you got it right.
Pick one that complements your body type. If you’re a pear-shaped, go for a high-cut leg to create a longer, leaner look, and also try a high neckline that broadens the shoulders and balances out the figure. And if you’re on thin side, stay away from dark suits, and choose one with padded bra to help you look larger on top.
3. A great tank top is an essential. Holidays are the perfect opportunity to experiment with psychedelic colours. Whether you are hitting the beach or just sipping drinks at the backyard, you will need to look and feel cool in your basic tank.
While I was writing assignments related to travel just now, hubby called up and broke a piece of good news. He and his business partners are going to have a very final and detailed discussion on their partnership. According to hubby, he may have a company car and a cell phone. But, what about the salary? This is my main concern….;D
Having finished his training at the rubber estate plant this afternoon, hubby was confident that he could pick up all the necessary knowledge and skills within a month. For your information, my hubby is a graduate having worked as a high school teacher, tourist guide, foot reflexologist, speaker and soon businessman.
I keep my fingers crossed that his income range starts from $3,000 effecting from December or January and there is share for him as well.
I asked him jokingly if he needed to attend Heavy Equipment Operator School to learn how to operate bullzoder since they are going to set up one rubber estate plant after another rubber estate plant. If he can operate a bulldozer, he can speed up the process.
Of course, I was just kidding with my hubby. There will be Indonesian workers who have undergone heavy equipment operator training on a variety of heavy equipment and construction related trucking to take care of it.

For female travelers, dressing well can make a thief think you have mounds of moolah in your bag. So, avoid looking like a rich Westerner to avoid creepy kinds of attention.
Dress like a local. Learn the local dress code as soon as you arrive; buy appropriate clothing locally if necessary. In some countries, typical American young women’s attire like a shirt that shows your belly may be an offensive slap in the face to local women and an invitation for a come-on from the men.
Eschew the glad rags. Chances are that, as a student traveler, your uniform is khakis and hiking boots with a backpack. Wearing an expensive dress and carrying an expensive bag, combined with your youth and sex, tattoos a target on you reading, “Rob me!“.

Hubby will never let me travel alone because he knows that I am not street wise enough ..;D I am easily gullible as I tend to trust people too easily. But, I think I have changed little by little over the year.
Read how you can minimize the possibilty of loss being street smart:
Don’t just Look, See - This one is important. Know and study your surroundings for things that make you uncomfortable. Back off if it doesn’t feel right. Don’t walk blindly into a noisy crowd.Look ‘em in the eye, even if they’re scary - A study concluded a while back reported that men, when being approached by another man, give an almost imperceptible nod of the head. This nod, according to the research, says to the stranger, “I’m seeing you. I’m remembering you. Don’t do anything stupid.” Most women in the same situation averted their eyes. Purse snatchers walk toward a woman, notice that she hasn’t looked, and then loop around to snatch the purse–and they can’t be identified, of course.
Blend in - Wear clothing like the locals wear
Don’t broadcast your wealth or use your clothing to advertise your radical US political opinions. Wear minimal jewelry. Relax and look like you belong there. Learn a few words of the language, especially the “politeness” words.Don’t keep all your finances and valuables in the same place . Spread it out so that if one stash is found it’s not everything. Always leave yourself an out. If you’re going out, hand your valuables to the clerk in a sealed or locked bag to be put in your hotel’s safe and watch that he does it.
ID Please -Ask to see identification if approached by a stranger in an unrecognized uniform. Beware especially if he asks to “count” your cash. Police don’t usually do that.

Do I actually have a break ? Well, I don’t think so. It seems that besides giving tuition, I spend most of my time blogging and making money online. Sometimes, I do read magazines, especially travel, personal money and female magazines.
Hubby will soon be as busy as I am. He is going to start his training of operating palm oil plantations and rubber estates. I bet he will only be free at night.
I wonder if he still has the mood to search information for his buddies. “Please place online order for Dallas Cowboys tickets “, “Please check the latest last minute deals to China for me”, “Please get me some travel insurance quotes online”.
I dislike myself and hubby to be taken advantage of by buddies.
