Take inventory of your luggage before you prepare for your next trip. Is your Samsonite luggage adequate to your needs, does it meet new airline requirements, and will it suit the length of your next trip?
If not, you may want to supplement what you have with new pieces of luggage. If you haven’t bought luggage before or it’s been a while, you may be impressed by the style, variety, and improved functionality now available.
What to look for in new luggage ? Utility is the key. What will you mostly use the luggage for? Long or short trips, airline or car travel? Will you be leaving for an extended amount of time or do you only need a weekend bag that holds a few items?
So, consider:
1. Size — bigger pieces hold more, but grow heavier — and airlines have weight limits.
2. Weight when empty — adds to the burden you carry or roll, but heavier is sturdier.
3. Fabrication — durable nylon is light but less stylish than leather.
4. Features — quality wheels, handles, pockets, dividers, and zippers all matter.
