We paid the not-so-pro plumber $170 for fixing a water tank and changing some water pipes yesterday, but unfortunately, the problem of leaking toilets was still not solved.

It’s apparent that we have to fork out another $200 or $300 to have the leaking toilets fixed by a more pro plumber.

I would have saved $170 if I had got a more professional plumber to get the water tank and leaking toilets fixed and water pipes changed.

Tomorrow afternoon, hubby and I will go to our vacant house and wait for the plumber to have the leaking toilets fixed.

Hopefully, the plumber can fix the leaking toilets once and for all so that the newly-replaced pipes/sinks can last many years.

On last check, all the Kohler kitchen faucets worked fine. My brother-in-law assured me that they would last more than 10 or 20 years if the tenants took care of them.

Oh, I must remind hubby to get my neighbor to have the weeds grown outside the vacant house removed too!

It’s confirmed that the tenants are moving in on the first week of June. Noop, not this week!

They have a conference from the 27th/28th until the 3rd/4th of June, so it’s unlikely that they can move in this week.

Hubby and I are fine if they can move in these few days. As long as they take care of our house, we are quite okay with the lower rentals and requests for air-conditioners and ceiling fans from the tenants.

Okay, I am totally awake from my dream of striking it rich and ready to hop over to vitamins.net!

Life is so hopeless if there is no dream, right? Hubby’s dream is to retire early and run a junk store. Bleh, a junk store!

As for me, I dream of having different rental properties scattered everywhere in the world.

Besides collecting rentals as passive income, I get to stay at different vacation home in different country each time I need a vacation break.

According to my friend who loves to buy land online, there is profit to be made buying land at a good price and selling it. And there is profit to be made developing the land into lots, and profit to be made building houses.

Let’s say you can get the property for $35,000, get it prepared for another $35,000, and get a house put on it for $120,000. Your other costs will be about $20,000, so you have a potential profit of $40,000 if the home sells for $250,000.

Home sellers take note. Head the following 8 suggestions by a famous real estate agent for making your home attractive to home buyers:

1. Use glass tiles instead of ceramic ones in kitchen or bathrooms;

2. Avoid installing bowl-shaped, above-the-counter bathroom sinks. They look pretty, but have proven to be harder to maintain and keep clean;

3. Use engineered stone compound for kitchen counter tops;

4. Don’t install too many glass cabinet doors in your kitchen. They look better in magazines than they do in real life;

5. Replace wooden or chain-link fences with a wrought-iron one;

6. Use bold and deep color for shutter, door and window frames;

7. Avoid using bamboo flooring; and

8. If you are adding new construction,don’t use concrete blocks in exterior walls.
