Too bad that I am only able to replace the existing rotten hardwood floor with the laminate flooring when I have had enough home improvement fund.

I would like to have laminate flooring because it is inexpensive, comes in a variety of designs, and is easy to maintain. It is also more resistant to scratches and water damage.

I am going to start work next Wednesday, that is the 1st of September. Woohoo!

As my working hours from 8am to 5pm doesn’t leave me much time to do household chores, it’s important for me to clean the house and clear the garage as much as possible.

Oh, no, there are still stacks of unused shoes, riding boots, socks, clothes in the store room!

Sigh, I think I had better throw them into boxes to save the space and hassle of dusting/cleaning them!

Hubby asked whether it’s necessary to add some modern sofas to the house. Well, I don’t think so!

There are already more than 10 chairs and stools made of wood, bamboo and plastic in the house, so it’s really unnecessary to spend money on sofas.

Besides, the tenants are busy working people who travel often. If they are free at home, it’s for sure that they will glue to their home office chairs or beds which are in their air-conditioned bedrooms rather than sitting in the living room which has no TV and air-conditioner.

There are roller blinds in the living room to block the heat from the outside.

I think it’s the small cracks or tiny holes on the walls that let the heat seep in.

Hubby still hasn’t found me the 60 watt pink lightbulb that I have wanted for some time.

I know it’s very difficult to find pink light bulbs. Before I asked hubby to buy for me, I had actually gone to several electrical stores and shopping malls.

I have told hubby to buy a dozen of pink light bulbs since it’s so difficult to find them.

Hubby suggested that we drive all the way up to the highlands and have our lunch at her niece’s furniture shop.

He would like to see if she has any new stocks for teak furniture. He would like to add a few pieces of teak deep seating armchairs for our bedrooms and guest room. I told him to look for oversized teak armchairs with matching cushions so that guests feel more comfortable.

As for teak benches, try to get those 6-foot-long benches. Not to forget stacking teak chairs that save space.
