It’s going to be a long and boring weekly meeting for hubby this afternoon. I don’t understand why his school needs to have meeting every week.

According to hubby, sometimes it’s a waste of time and energy to attend the weekly meeting. Why? The principal is the only one who has the final say. No matter how strong every teacher disagrees with an idea or a plan, the principal will go ahead with it if it is what he wants.

Why having a debate or argument with the principal if he has already had an answer? No wonder hubby says some teachers just sit there marking books or surfing the internet looking for weight loss supplement info during the meeting. They have already given up debating/arguing with the principal.

I think sooner or later, hubby will be like one of those teachers who just sit through the meeting.

Hubby was back early for his lunch. He had to have his lunch early because there’s a loooong meeting at 3 pm today.

Prior to the meeting, there are still some details that he has to go through. I know he hates making mistakes during his presentation in front of more than 25 fellow teachers.

Isn’t it more time saving if every teacher is equipped with a laptop and they just click here and there to see the details rather than flipping the paper while hubby is doing his presentation?

For better school management, the school should encourage every teacher to own a laptop/notebook.

Feeling a strong desire to support Breast Cancer research? What about buying a few packs of Pink Ribbon Gel Pens and sell them at a higher price to your boss and colleagues?

If your colleagues are male, remind them to gift the pens to their loved ones.

The reason I asked you to sell the pens at a higher price is NOT to get any profits from there or use the money for a stay at one of the hotel New Orleans. No, no, no.

If you can sell them at a higher price, this means you will have more money to donate it to a charity nearby your place. :-)

EducationIsn’t it scary to read news about layoffs, job cuts, job losses or pay cuts every day? Have you done anything to protect your present job or supplement your income?

Some of my buddies work 2 jobs to earn extra income while others enroll in degree or master degree programs to increase their job opportunities should they be laid off in future.

One of my best blogging pals, a business analyst by profession, has enrolled herself in a Project Management certificate at Saint Joseph’s University Professional recently.

If I am not mistaken, she opts for the installment payment option to alleviate her financial burden.

I would have considered taking the crisis management program if I hadn’t been in so much debt.

It’s time to add some children toys and games for my students as they have started complaining that they are bored with the same old toys and games.

Honestly, I love buying slinky toys and lego for the kids as they will build all kinds of funny and innovative buildings, aircrafts, trains and stuffs that I may never even think of. The most amazing part is that they will explain in details and with professional tone why they build them and how these things can help save the world…;D

Whenever I come across educational science and learning products, I will not hesitate a moment as I know they are very useful in teaching kids science. Once in a while, these kids will ask me to buy slot cars and racetracks for them. I am amazed that they know more about Ferrari than our national cars.

Do you teach your children or students to juggle balls ? Yes, I do. :-)

Whenever the students’ learning curve starts wearing off, I will let them juggle balls for at least 5 to 10 minutes to relax themselves.

The children like it very much as it is fun and honestly speaking, how many female teachers can be as cool as Ms Teh who knows how to juggle balls ??

Over the years, I have used tennis balls, golf balls, plastic balls, table tennis balls, squash balls as juggling balls.

I recently got the chance to buy some used golf balls in Cameron Highlands as there are a few golf courses trying to get rid of these used balls.
