I use a camera phone very often, but I make sure that I follow these guidelines to be a polite cell-phone photographer.
Firstly, I never use one in changing rooms, swimming areas, hospitals or anywhere people are exposed.
Secondly, I ask permission before snapping a hot of someone, and let him know if I plan to email the picture or post it online.
Thirdly, I keep my flash off and my lens covered when my camera is not in use.
Last but not least, immediately delete inappropriate photos taken by accident.
